My Story:
Bailey is a very sweet and pretty reactive dog. She does warm up to almost everyone, but if you are a stranger or any unfamiliar noise she barks. She especially hates knocking, door bells, loud voices outside. We have also had a very hard time training her to a leash because she is reactive to lots of things outside. In our family and with our close friends she is the sweetest, most gentle dog. She is so kind and patient with our 1 year old, she loves belly rubs and honestly sleeps a good part of the day. She had back surgery a couple years ago, it was very unexpected and she has recovered well, we would be happy to share all of her medical records. She also has the diagnosis of reflux, which seems to have gotten worse, we think with the stress of our house. We feel she would be better in place with a big yard, maybe someone who is stronger and can manage her on a leash better than we can. She is actually pretty well trained when there aren't distractions. She doesn't chew or destroy anything, except for one of the baby's hats which legit looked like a dog toy. She is completely potty trained and has gone 12 hrs without going outside. She will sometimes vomit, which the vet told us is because of the reflux so we try to feed her small amounts of food throughout the day when we can. We are hoping that we can find a home that is better suited for her, which breaks our hearts and feels like the right thing to do.
